Sterling Hirsch
President/ Chief Advisor
Sterling is the President and Founder of Sterling First Financial. He has been advising individuals and couples for the past 7 years. Sterling specializes in working with retirees and pre-retirees in developing investment, income and estate plans for all sizes of estates. He has a passion for his opportunity to develop invaluable relationships with his clients as he assists hundreds of clients work towards maximizing their income, minimize their taxation, and maximize the growth of their assets.
Family Information:
Sterling and his wife, Julie have been married since 2000, and have 4 children, daughters Aleah and Iris, and sons Carmen and Sloan. The time they spend together as a family is cherished. They enjoy trips to the beach, snowboarding in Big Bear, hiking, fishing, and biking. Sterling enjoys the opportunity of being involved with his children as he coaches baseball and soccer each year. Julie is a talented decorator, incredible cook, and teaches 3 to 4 aerobics classes each week. Her most accomplished time is spent in the home.
Education & Achievements:
Sterling graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in Business Management. He has owned and operated several companies during the past 13 years, including Sterling First Financial.
Jim Griffin
Associate Advisor
As Associate Advisor, Jim creates financial strategies to satisfy client requirements, reviews existing client portfolios, assists clients in implementing financial plans, and provides valuable insight from his vast experience with tax reduction, principal protection, and guaranteed rates of return… He has been advising individuals and couples for over 15 years. His love for those he serves has enabled him to guide his clients with care through turbulent financial times.
Family Information:
Jim, while single, is considered a grandfather, father, and friend to many. His knowledge, skills and ability together with his passion and zeal have been felt by all who know him.
Education and achievements:
Jim is a retired USAF career military officer and earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a master’s degree from University of Massachusetts. In Jim’s spare time, he competes as a Gold Life Master in tournament bridge and is an avid fitness enthusiast.
Wyatt Dursteler
Associate Advisor/ Director of Marketing
Wyatt serves as an Associate Advisor to Sterling First Financial as well as the Marketing Director. He assists clients with the implementation and review of financial plans as well as all marketing efforts for Sterling First Financial.
Before becoming an Associate Advisor, Wyatt worked for Fidelity Investments as a financial representative. He has also been an independent advisor for the past 6 years and has owned and operated several small businesses.
Family Information:
Wyatt resides in Beaumont, CA. He is married to his wife, Ruth, for the past 10 years and they have two children.
Education & Achievements:
Wyatt Dursteler graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Business Finance. He has been a valuable member of the Sterling First Financial team since 2008.
Addie Capovani
Executive Assistant/Client Relationships Manager
Addie has been servicing the clients of Sterling First financial since 2008. She manages the day-to-day operations of the firm. She also assists Sterling with case preparation and client evaluations. Prior to joining Sterling First financial, Addie was employed as Executive Assistant to the President of El Pollo Loco Restaurants and Training/Operations Assistant for Denny’s International.
Family Information:
Addie is the mother of two beautiful daughters.
Education & Achievements:
Addie attended college in Sacramento, California and received her Real Estate License in 1991 while employed by Carl Karcher Enterprises in Anaheim, California. Her interests include travel, reading, swimming, biking and cooking.
